Criminal Justice Advance Training Academy
The Criminal Justice Advance Training Academy is a limited access program governed by Palm Beach State, Region XII Justice Training Council and the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission. This minimum standards class is regulated by Florida statutes and is a highly structured and disciplined program with special rules, policies and procedures.
Exemption from Training (EFT) for Florida Certified Law Enforcement Officers
Admission Requirements: This is a limited access program.
This course is for previously Florida certified Law Enforcement Officers seeking certification as Florida certified Law Enforcement officers. You must possess a current and valid CJSTC Form #76 (Exemption-From-Training) issued by a Training Center or LE Agency. This course consists of the demonstration of proficiency in the four high liability areas: Defensive Tactics, First Aid, Vehicle Operations, Firearms as well as state examination preparation.
Completion Requirements: Successful demonstration of proficiency in all four high liability areas. (Defensive Tactics, First Aid, Vehicle Operations and Firearms). Contact hours: 76
There are no refunds once the course begins.
Exemption from Training (EFT) for Out-of-State or Federal Certified Law Enforcement or Correction Officers
This is a limited access program
Law Enforcement or correctional officers from another state, a federal agency or an inactive Florida officer may be able to obtain Florida certification without attending a full basic recruit academy in Florida if they:
1. Successfully complete an EFT Evaluation proving they attended basic training in specific subjects and were employed full time as an officer for at least 1 full year that ended not more than 8 years ago.
2. Attend a Proficiency Demonstration training course in high-liability physical skills.
3. Pass the Florida State Officer Certification Examination (SOCE). You must complete each step before going on to the next.

Advanced Training , Special Courses and Exemption from Training (EFT)
Registration MUST be through your agency training department/coordinator. Registrations must be emailed on Authorization to Attend from agency letterhead to: CJTRAINING@palmbeachstate.edu
Once approved by PBSC Advanced Training Department, Agency Training Liaisons will receive a registration link and password for attendees to register on Eventbrite.

Field Training Officer for Law Enforcement FDLE: 809
This is FDLE Course 809 and is geared to the Law Enforcement Officer. Students should have successfully completed the Basic Training and possess sufficient experience to meet the standard core of knowledge.
